Mecca Mid City is committed to providing a website, retail environment, and customer-support experience that are accessible to all people—including those with disabilities. Whether you visit us online or at our Los Angeles location, we aim to ensure a welcoming, barrier-free experience.

Standards We Strive To Meet

We aim to align our website and digital content with the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. This helps ensure that our content is perceivable, operable, understandable and robust for a wide range of users.

What We’re Doing

Third-Party Content & Integrations

Our website uses third-party tools (e.g., delivery partners, point-of-sale widgets, ordering embeds). While we evaluate these partners for accessibility, we do not always control their code. If you encounter a barrier within a third-party feature, please let us know so we can escalate with the vendor and offer an alternative.

Compatible Browsers & Assistive Technologies

We intend for this website to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on desktop and mobile. We also support common assistive technologies such as screen-readers (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver), screen magnifiers, and speech-recognition tools. If you use another setup, we’ll do our best to assist.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some legacy content or partner-supplied elements may not yet fully meet accessibility standards (for example, some older product visuals may lack alt text, or some interactive embeds might not yet support full keyboard navigation). We are actively working to identify and remediate these items. If you need content in an alternative format, we’ll be happy to provide it on request.

  • Entrance & Sales Floor: We offer an accessible entrance and level pathways throughout our store, where feasible.

  • Point of Sale Assistance: If you need help handling products, packaging, or payment, our staff are glad to assist.

  • Parking: Accessible parking is available in the lot adjacent to the store; please contact us ahead of your visit if you need a designated space.

If a feature is temporarily unavailable (e.g., due to maintenance), our staff will provide alternatives.

Ongoing Improvements

We review our website and physical retail experience on a regular basis. Recent actions include updating 100% of new product images with alt text and performing our first full accessibility audit in Q3 2025. Our next full review is scheduled for Q3 2026.
